Community
Community is very much at the heart of Kimberley College.
When you enrol at Kimberley College, the supportive network of staff, students, parents, and alumni are key to our ongoing success. We believe in community; it is one of the pillars of the Kimberley College strategic plan that helps to guide us over the coming years.
The research is compelling: schools that are strong communities – especially with high levels of mutual trust and respect – have students who are likely to do well. For these reasons we strive to embody in the school’s culture – for students, staff and parents – a sense of community; a place where people share high levels of trust and respect for one another.
One of the important ingredients of an effective school is the positive involvement of parents and caregivers and at Kimberley College, we work in partnership with our families to support and achieve the best outcomes for each and every student. This support is also a vital factor in helping maintain our lower fee structure.
Of course, finding the time to get involved in school activities is not easy, and we understand that many parents who would like to help out are unable to make a regular commitment. Even if you only have the time to attend an occasional parent evening, P&F event or volunteer for the tuckshop once a month, your involvement is important and greatly appreciated.
